Calvary Chapel
19450 Indian Hills Drive
Black Canyon City

(Only about 10 minutes north of Anthem!)

Speaker: Mike Riddle

Hi everyone!

I'm sure many of you are familiar with Answers in Genesis. AiG is a Christian apologetics ministry founded by Ken Ham, focusing primarily on the book of Genesis and the subject of creation vs. evolution. AiG teaches that the Bible - the "history book of the universe" - provides a reliable, eyewitness account of the beginning of all things. Despite what evolutionists and humanists would have you believe, scientific evidence always confirms the biblical account when properly understood and interpreted.

Desert Hills Christian Homeschoolers and Calvary Chapel of BCC are excited to announce that veteran creation speaker Mike Riddle of AiG will be coming to town and has offered to speak to us. Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 15 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm as you won't want to miss this special event! There will be two 50-60 minute sessions with a 20 minute break between them plus 20 minutes for questions at the end. You are also welcome to stay afterwards if you have more questions or for purchasing materials. A variety of resources such as books and DVDs will be for sale.

Mike says, "We need to be equipping more Christians to uphold their faith and to evangelize more effectively in these challenging times." This seminar will teach you how! Bring the whole family because Mike will give powerful, well-illustrated presentations on:

Strategic Evangelism: 4 Power Questions to Ask an Evolutionist
The 60-minute lecture begins with an analysis of the Biblical foundation for creation and then demonstrates why evolution cannot be defended scientifically and must rely on faith. It shows how the layperson can successfully witness to an evolutionist. It also contains a section on the origin of life.

Apologetics 101
This 50-minute talk contains a section on dating (rocks and fossils), and also arms the student to answer some tough challenges. (These sessions are probably most suitable for ages 12 and up.)

About the Speaker
Mike Riddle holds a degree in mathematics and a graduate degree in education. He has been heavily involved in creation ministry for more than twenty years. Mike was formerly a world-class athlete in the multi-event decathlon as well as a US Marine (rising to the rank of captain). Mike's goal is to apply the Marines' famous Latin motto "semper fi" ("always faithful") to his ministry of traveling around America (and overseas) to proclaim the creation/gospel message. In his professional life, Mike worked for many years in the computer field with Microsoft (yes, he met Bill Gates). Besides speaking to churches, schools, and homeschool groups around the country, Mike will be holding workshops at AiG's new Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky. He is also helping AiG develop curriculum materials for various age ranges on the Book of Genesis. To learn more about this great speaker, go to:
